- Journals for Marking Period 1 are due on Wednesday, November 3rd by 2:15pm; no late journals are accepted for credit!!! In order to submit your journal for grading, please place it in the designated bin...I will not hunt you or your journal down. so be sure to turn it in on time!
- Journals submitted on or before Friday, October 29th will be given 5 points of extra credit added to the score of the journal. If you are submitting your journal for extra credit, please place it in the "early journal bin" before 2:15pm on 10/29; any journals received after 2:15pm will be accepted as on time, not early.
- Quarter 1 County Assessments will be given to stuents on Monday, November 1st. All students will have some generalized review before the assessment, but are remidned that this assessment is used by HCPSS to ensure all students are learning the same core information acorss the county (for English this means basic rules of grammar and reading comprehension). There is no way to "study" for these tests, so paying attention in class is the key to your success on these assessments (which will be counted as a quiz for 1st Quarter).
- Marking Period 1 ends on Thursday, November 4th; all grades will be closed by 2:15 that day, meaning no work can be accepted after that time. Be sure to make up any missing tests or quizzes by that day!
